This used Kahele OC1 (1 person outrigger canoe) is my personal boat. At 19’3″ long x 16″ wide and 23 lbs (18 lb hull weight), the Kahele is an absolute delight to handle and store (most people can’t believe how light it is!) Fitting in most garages conveniently, the Kahele has the performance of longer outrigger canoes due to a long-for-size water line (the hull and stern are relatively plumb instead of having excess hull extending out over the water). On the water performance is excellent; it accelerates almost instantly and catches waves easily. Turns are tight with the under-stern rudder. Adjustable foam seat and bungees behind the seat for gear. Overall the boat is in excellent shape, with just a few scrapes on the bottom and some paddle bump marks on the side of the cockpit. New, this OC1 is $4900; I’m pricing it at $3500.
