This morning’s rains gave way to a beautiful evening to be on the water. 5 of us put in our kayaks to make the 1 mile run through Grassy Creek onto Tippecanoe Lake and around the bend into James Lake. We padded to the end of James and returned the way we came. Temps were around 70 degrees, sunny skies, and a fairly stout wind to churn up some fun waves on the two lakes (probably NOT Linette weather). Total mileage was around 5.8 miles. Mike and Jay brought out their sharp looking wooden kayaks, while Ray, Dan, and I paddled factory boats. We had a lot of fun, spent some time swapping AI-assisted stories, and left with a complete lack of cookies. Many thanks to Mike for calling a fun paddle!
