At roughly 25 lbs in the ultra-light Excel layup, it’s a joy to handle off the water as well. This particular boat is essentially brand new; it has only been paddled twice as a demo. Stellar S16S Excel, green with grey stripe. Not much can match the S16S for sheer fun! Stability of this 22.9″ wide boat is sufficient to enable even new paddlers to successfully enjoy this ski and the efficiency seems to be significantly better than its shorter 16′ length would indicate. You’ll be at the front of the pack when you’re out with your paddling companions. The sit-on-top design is very easy to enter/exit, making it an excellent boat for older paddles as well who find their knees don’t like to bend in funny ways attempting to enter the cockpit of a conventional kayak. Stellar now sells a seat back that allows paddlers who need more back to support to attach a seat back to our surf skis with side handles – like the S16S. Stellar SEL Multi-Sport, orange deck with grey strip/clear coated carbon/Kevlar hull. When you have a need for serious speed, along with the ability to take some bumps and bruises without damage, this is your boat. An elite-level ski, it still maintains good stability for this class of boat. And not much is faster on the water! The unique Multi-Sport layup combines a stout internal keel and a very rugged skin with some “give” to prevent rocks, logs, etc. from damaging the hull. A rounded bow that rides up over objects (including leaves, weeds, and such), a retractable bailer, and a kick-up rudder complete this perfect river-racing package that can handle big water just as well with a quick swap to an under-stern rudder. Stellar 14′ SUP with rowing rig! Now this is an awesome and unique offering. Stellar’s SUP is a fast paddle board in and of itself – perhaps one of the fastest in its class on the water. But where else can you get a rowing unit that inexpensively converts your SUP into a sculler?!? Moving the footplate and oar assembly instead of the seat, this rowing unit keeps the center of gravity relatively constant in the boat, while offering a very similar feel to a standard rowing/sculling shell. An experienced rower tried out our unit and remarked that the action was “very smooth” and that he really like the feel of it. He especially appreciated that the boat didn’t rock back and forth from the motion of the sliding seat. Our SUP/rower is in close to new condition, and comes with Wintech C90 carbon oars.
