We just got in some great Stellar demo products this week: A bright yellow S18S Advantage-Layup surfski, a white SEI Excel-Layup surfski, a couple of carbon wing paddles in small wing and mid wing sizes, and a hybrid (carbon shaft, fiberglass blades) touring paddle. Also a sampling of paddling clothing from Stellar.
For those of us paddling in the Midwest, Stellar boats offer some notable advantages over many competitors: rounded bows glide over leaves, weeds, and other debris, rather than catching it on the bow and slowing you down; 3-point footplates are stiff (no creaking, groaning or rubbing the finish on your boat), but quick to adjust; pluggable bailers keep the cockpit dry; extra foot space means you can wear your neoprene boots in the winter comfortably; and built-in leash attachment points make staying with the boat/paddle easier. Boat hulls have some of the best speed/stability ratios in the industry, and are amazingly stiff for their weight. The S18S offers handles in the cockpit for easy 1-person carry, as well as hatches and a water bottle slot. Come take a test paddle!

Hey Doug: Glad you’re enjoying your S18S; they’re definitely cool boats! I remember that you paddled your boat mighty well at the “Ride the Wave Regatta” last year! Right now, since I’m just getting started on a rather small scale, I will pretty much have to order any boats you want. As the business grows I’ll start carrying some boats in stock.
