New Gen 2 Stellar S18S at RBR!

Ready to dominate the Sea Kayak class races this coming season?  Or just want an honest, efficient kayak for recreation and tripping?  Or perhaps you race tippy boats on flat water but need something with a bit more stability for waves or cold water?  Whatever the case, Stellar’s new Gen 2 version of the popular S18S surf ski / sea kayak is sure to be just what the (paddling) doctor ordered!  A redesigned hull, tighter paddle catch, retractable DeBrito bailer, more ergonomic cockpit, and much more add up to unmatched performance and a paddling experience you don’t want to miss!  Here’s what Stellar has to say about this updated performer:

S18S G2
The new redesigned Stellar 18′ surf ski (S18S) has increased its speed by increasing the size of the cutaway’s and narrowing the bow sections. The S18S rocker has been tweaked along with the trim to optimize the ski for efficient paddling and catching waves. All done without losing any stability and staying within USCA fast sea kayaks regulations. Other changes made for the S18S paddler are: DeBrito bailer for dry starts, paddles and rapid water removal; streamlined carbon handles at each end; and a large oval hatch in the stern. The comfort, under-stern/over-stern fittings, convenient cockpit handles, water bottle holder, leash attachment, and deck bungees still come standard on the Stellar S18S. Making this a boat you need to put in your fleet.

At River Bear Racing we just got in a beautiful orange/grey trim example in the Advantage layup, set up with the optional over-stern rudder (under-stern rudders readily swap in and out).  Contact us if you’d like to check out this latest addition to the fleet!
